This collection is a mix of personal and class projects. These videos were all completed using Adobe After Effects. 
BOUNCING BALL PROJECT
This was the first project I completed in my animation class, where I learned how to work with After Effects. It has its quirks, but it was the first piece of work I created.
BUS LIGHTS
This is a very simple animation of a VW Bus with blinking headlights and a gran overlay. I made this with limited knowledge early on. I enjoy old cars, and even own a bus very similar to the one in the animation, so I wanted to make something on a topic I would enjoy.
FIELDS
I had seen a similar idea on Instagram involving graffiti art and different sections of a wall. If I find the account again, I will give them credit here. I wanted to try to reverse engineer how it was made and thought a birds-eye view of fields would be a great subject, as they are divided into sections. 
ROTOSCOPING EXERCISE
This exercise was for visual effects rotoscoping to isolate a subject from the background. I chose a tiger since they are my favorite animal, and would pose a challenge to isolate. 
WALK CYCLE
I was tasked with making an original character, breaking it into moving parts, and animating it to walk. I utilized Illustrator for the design and made it so that it has separate layers for each moving part. These parts were then imported into After Effects and combined to create a moving figure. 
EXPLAINER VIDEO
I made an explainer video of my all-time favorite car, the BMW E30 chassis. This was our final project in animation class. I had to write a script and create a video that involves motion graphics. 
MOTION EXTRACTION TRACKING
I filmed this project at my local skatepark and did all the skating in it. I created this project for a final in an art theory class I took at Washburn University. I used a technique featured on the YouTube channel Posey called motion extraction. You layer two clips and use a combination of blending modes and offset of timing to create an effect where only what moves in the clips shows up. I then learned how to create a stroke that follows the subject and timed it through key framing. The stroke I learned from watching tutorials on how golf videos track the ball through the air. The end result is a representation of various forms at the park made through motion.
